And thre really isn't much to write about it. It is very relaxing, and yes almost fell asleep today. I do believe it has been helping with quite a few if the issues I had been having. I'm thankful for the quiet time it brings. I'm thankful for the me time I get to have. It's nice for all those reasons as well.

Other than that, it's been going well. :)

I'm also very excited because I finally found my missing Lightroom presets. I'm so happy because they were my favorite!

So, recently I've something new that I love. It's from Trader Joe's. Their Very Green Juice blend. I love it. That sounds strange, but I think it tastes great! Now, there is a bit of a texture, but it's not bad at all.

So, what's in this very green juice blend.

APPLE JUICE, MANGO PUREE, PINEAPPLE JUICE, BANANA PUREE, KIWI PUREE, SPIRULINA, NATURAL FLAVOR, CHLORELLA, BROCCOLI, SPINACH, BARLEY GRASS, WHEAT GRASS, PARSLEY, GINGER ROOT, BLUE GREEN ALGAE, AND ORDERLESS GARLIC.

That's it. And yes, I had no idea what some of this stuff was that I was drinking before I googled it. But, it's and amazing drink. It has a ton of vitamins and minerals. It's something I recommend and I was surprised myself that I actually liked it when I first tried it. Every time I head up to Trader Joe's now, I make sure I pick some up to stock up on.

And remember there is a great list of different green juices you can blend yourself at home. This is not something I have tried myself yet, But I do eventually want to learn how to do it all myself. But for now, I'm enjoying this wonderful drink!

So, It's about time for an Update

Hello there fellow readers, if there are any of you. Somethings, some changes, and an idea.

First, I'd like to talk photography. I've been getting things together and my partner in crime, (aka my hubby) has been revamping the website. Things are changing for klh, and I'm kind of excited. :0) I'd love to go into detail, but I'm not fully ready, so to my current clients, hang on tight! These changes will be good!

And secondly, with the idea coming from a great friend of mine, We will call her NKA, I'd like to start blogging about a cretin topic. She said I should journal about it, so I figured maybe blogging about it would be a great idea. So we will see where this goes and how comfortable I'll feel about sharing it with the world...

Here it is. Acupuncture. That's right. I started seeking acupuncture treatments last week, well Monday 1/24. I'm sure your first questions is Why? Well here is your answer.

I struggle with a few things that acupuncture can help with. Yes in the beginning when the idea came to me I thought I was insane for thinking about it. Why on earth would I want to go get poked with needles to help heal.... That's just plain crazy. But I did some research and had a consultation and decided that acupuncture was worth the try. Here is list of somethings the L.Ac and I came up with to work on.

1. Sleep, I've been struggling with falling asleep and staying asleep, and the OTC meds were not working anymore.

2. Raynaud's phenomenon, It's a circulation problem I've had for as long as I can remember. My extremities are always cold and freezing, If you've ever shaken hands with me, you know. :o) lol Acupuncture helps with circulation.

3. Back pain. This is an on again off again thing for me. Sometimes it is just so bad I no matter what position I am in helps relieve the pain. Or any OTC meds I take help either.

4. Stress. Yes, believe it or not, I've been getting stressed out so much more easily lately. especially driving to and from work.

5. And finally last thing I will share with you is, Anxiety. This is something I have struggled with all my life. And I hate it. And I've been on medication in the past for depression, ED's, and Anxiety and I'm just over taking prescription medications for these issues. Not that I don't believe in it, because, especially having gone to school for Professional Counseling, I do believe these drugs can help. But for my situation, and where I am currently at in life, I feel the medication is unnecessary. And Acupuncture has been helpful in healing those with anxiety issues.

Now, Acupuncture is not for everyone. I highly recommend that if you are interested in acupuncture, you find a licensed Acupuncturist and have a consult with them to see if acupuncture is right for you.

Another question you may have. Does it hurt? Well here is my answer, Not really. By not really I mean, every once in a while one of the needles, (that really are not much bigger than a strand of hair) goes in and stings. Yes stings. So I tell my acupuncturist and he takes it out right away, rubbing the spot and then leaving it alone. No more trying to put it back in, or trying to put a new one in it's place. It's just left out for the day's appointment. Some feel like a quick pinch, and not even a hard pinch. Others, you don't even feel at all. And in fact, once they are all in and you are left alone in the room for the 20-30 min, it's quite relaxing. There is some New Age music playing and the lights are off. It's time alone. I have had a hard time trying to clear my mind of things, which you are supposed to do. But, I've find that if I just spend that time concentrating on my breathing, and meditating, and praying, it helps. In fact a few times I've caught myself even falling asleep.

So far, for the three times I've gone, I've enjoyed it. And, in fact, I've even come to see a quick change in my sleeping habits. it doesn't take me as long to fall asleep, and in fact, last night, when I did fall asleep I actually stayed asleep the whole night with out once waking up.

So, this is only the beginning. Sharing with you my experience with acupuncture. I know some of you will think I'm crazy, some of you may not agree to this type of treatment, and others will see nothing wrong with it. And, that is ok. I am ok with that. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
And if you have any questions. Please feel free to ask. I may or may not be able to answer all of them though.

So it's Novemeber. It's been November for 17 days now. From here on out the year will fly by. So much is happening and it has been overwhelming. Maybe one day I will share what's been going on these past few months. No, in fact, one day I will share with you, my friends and family, and readers, what has been going on. But for now, I will just share the everyday.

It's November. I picked up a holiday postion that I cannot stand. So that doesn't help. I thought I would enjoy it, but nope. I don't. In fact, I've always hated retail. But I just need to last about 12 weeks. My photography has picked up a bit, but unfortunetly my flash broke. ::insert sad face here:: I don't know what happened, but I took a picture and it sounded as if the blub exploded. I don't think it did, and it won't turn on at all... Who knows...

The Hoilday season is here, and I'm so excited! I really hope this job doesn't make the Hoildays stressful! I love the Hoildays, I love seeing my family, I love being around them. It's always fun. Thanksgiving in a week away! And although our time with our family will be cut short, I really hope to savor every moment we get to spend with them!

Different. I'm not really sure if that is the word I'm looking for, but it's the only one I could think of. As I sit here, on a Sunday afternoon, in my living room, with my husband, watching football all I can do is get excited for the Fall. See I love fall, and I love all the changes it brings.

It's the beginning of an end. An end of the season, an end to life, and end to summer. But yet, It can also signify the beginning. The beginning of a season, the beginning of life, the beginning of Autumn. I love the cool weather and the colors, the smells and the fact it seems to always bring families together. I love the comfort it brings as well. Sitting by the fire, sweatshirts, big comfy blankets and cozy warm foods.

I hope, with this end and beginning, I can become more faithful. To God, to myself, to blogging and writing. I'm excited to see what comes with this fall, looking forward to all things new and all things old. Looking forward to spending time with family and loving my family.

For some reason, today, I feel content and excited for all changes and all things that remain the same.

It has been such a beautiful morning. The weather is cool, and the breeze is so nice. Fall is right around the corner and I love it! There isn't much new that's been going on. I've had a few friends on my mind lately. J and S, as they are waiting on the arrival of the precious little on any day now! I'm so excited for them! Lizzy, one of my best friends from college. And lots of my fellow Clemens Girls! And a few of my Group Experience girls. :) I hope they are all doing well.

Things here on the home front have been going well, I'm so excited to order our new dinning room set. Hopefully we can do that next week! I can't wait to decorate it. Also, our House has slowly been becoming more of a home with being able to do some more decorating. Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday I'll be able to get my picture I ordered and hang it on our family room wall. Hopefully, it came out ok!

Last night, my poor pup got stung by a bee. It scared me half to death! He was freaking out running all around crying. and then I found the bee. Thankfully, he's doing much better today!

Other than that. Tim has been traveling a lot again. I'm hoping that calms down soon. I really miss him when he is gone. Things with him and work have been going so well though. I'm so thankful for his job, especially during these times.

Well, other than that. Our life has been pretty much the same. And you know what. Sometimes, that's ok. :)

I'm really thankful for a new friendship that has really taken off. I'm so happy that God has put this wonderful woman in my life. She's been such an inspiration, such an encourager, and such a great listener. I'm so glad that our friendship continues to grow. I'm so thankful that I've learned so much so far, and I know I'll only continue to learn from her. She an amazing photographer, mother, and woman of God. She shows so much strength and empowerment; Love and Joy. And yet she is so real and is not afraid to hid. I am thankful to know her and to have her in my life. God is amazing and He always knows who to put in your life when you need them.

So, dear readers, I apologize. I knew going into this I wouldn't have much to blog about. It doesn't help that I don;t have a life though. Anyway....So in the last few weeks not much in our life has changed. We went out to California for Tim's cousin's wedding and it was wonderful! Here is a picture of their first kiss.

It really was a lovely wedding.

So, what else has been going on. Well, I'm still trying to figure out if I really want to go back to school. It would be a 2 hour drive every Saturday, and the class would be all day. so I would give up my Saturdays from 7am-6:30pm. And all the reading and papers, it just doesn't seem too motivating. I just don't know. But I'm not really worried about it.

I've also started counseling again. I'm not afraid to say it, and I don't care who knows. There isn't any bad going on, so don't worry. It's just for me, for my metal health, and just a few things I would like to work on. I'm actually glad to be going. I think it's good for people to check in every now and then to get a clear new perspective.

Other than that, not much else has been going on. We've rearranged our family room, and I don;t think I like it very much. We've finally gotten that TV for the family room too. I;m looking forward to painting the dinning room and finally getting our dinning room table, hopefully November or sooner.

We're going through some changes...

Within the last month or so, our life has been going through, what seems like, change. Good change, nothing bad, but still, it's been a little weird. Maybe it's just that we are finally settling into our life here in Maryland. Maybe it's the change of Summer. Maybe it's the fact that I've decided to start to exercise again. I have no idea. But whatever it is, my eyes are starting to feel open for once.

Our house, has started to feel more "homey". Great friends of ours just moved to the area and I'm definitely excited to spend some time with them and catch up. The sun has been out and shinning, (even though it's been super hot and our grass looks like it's dying). Tim's knee has been healing great. We are going on vacation in a week. Maybe these are the reasons for what feels like change.

I really have no idea what it is, but it feels good for once, it feels nice, comfortable. Exciting! And I'll not forget to thank God, for this, for these great feelings. For what He's given to us!

I hope that you all are well, and life is treating good.

It's been a while!

So, I've noticed that it's been a while since I've posted. I'm not the worlds greatest blogger! haha! Since my last entry, (which wasn't much of an entry), a few things have happened. My beautiful niece turned a year old!

Then Tim had knee surgery to replace his ACL and repair is meniscus. That's been a roller coaster ride! But we are very happy that he was able to have this done and have it done now, instead of needing to wait. (sorry it's a terrible picture, it was taken from my phone).

After that surgery, my brother got married. It was such a beautiful wedding and it was so much fun!!

And that brings us pretty much to today, where my grandmother just had a total knee replacement. So If you could keep her in your prayers! I would greatly appreciate that.

She's doing well and in recovery now. Looking forward to hearing another update soon, I hope!

The Calm Before the Storm?

So, recently things have been busy. Not crazy busy, but busy non-the less. Tim and I have finally gotten my website up and running, (you can check it out, the link is over there on the right!), I've painted (by myself, since he does NOT paint), our mast bath and our bedroom. It's finally done! And between those few projects, I've been attempting to keep up with house cleaning and volleyball! But now that those few projects ARE done, I feel like everything has slowed down. Things are running smoothly, things seem good, things seem to be in place. But is that all for now? Or will it stay this way for a while. Who knows. I do hope that it could stay this way for a while, but at the same time, I hope that another project can start again soon. Staying at home, just cleaning, and cooking, it gets boring. As much as I hate to paint because it is so time consuming, I love it because it give me something to do and it gives a fresh new look to something and I get to see an end result. So who knows. I do still have a few more rooms that need to be painted, so maybe that will be in my future. But for now, I must say, especially today, I am enjoying the clam.

Wow, That's a lot of Snow!

So Yes, Tim and I have been snowed in. We tried this morning, as the snow was still coming down, to dig ourselves out. Well, that did not turn out so well. The snow was at least 17 inches and in some spots upwards to 20 or so inches. That was this morning. I'm pretty sure we now have a little over two feet of snow!!! We both gave up on digging out the driveway and decided we'll try again tomorrow. I must admit, it is nice to be able to be stuck inside your house with your husband and the fireplace going!! To be forced to not go anywhere.

As of right now, the snow has stopped, and we are both very tired and cold!! The dog has finally defrosted after many attempts to get him to go to the bathroom outside! (He HATES the snow!). Here are my photos!

So as if you have, (or haven't) noticed, I've not been blogging much anymore. I have just decided that I don't usually have much to say. Most of my blog entries are all the same. I clean, I cook, I take care of my husband and my dog. Nothing has changed. It's all the same. I still clean, I still cook, I still take care of my husband and my dog. And I do love it, I love my life. I've just come to the conclusion that it's just not much to blog about. I do still want to keep my blog, so I will, in the off chance that I'll actually have something to share... But as for now. There is nothing.

The new years is going well so far. I've had a job interview and that process is still in the works. We'll see how and where that goes for the future. My birthday is next month. I'm not so excited about that, but it's life. We have lots of weddings this year and 2010 just seems like it's going to be a great year that both my husband and I are excited for! I hope you all are as well!!

been a long time...

So, it's been well over a month, I think I needed to take this break from blogging, (not like many people follow or look forward to my boring posts anyway...). Not much has happened. Tim and I had a wonderful time on our vacation in Hawaii! I absolutely LOVED it there. I'm ready to pick up and move there if we need too ;-). Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our vacation!

Right now, not much has changed. I signed up for my first Grad class... I'm a little freaked out about it. Still not sure how I feel about going back to school. On top of it all, I've been thinking about it all and wondering if it's the right career for me. So much to think about. I suppose time will tell. We are now getting ready for the Holidays! This is of course one of my favorite times of the year! I love being surrounded by family and friends. I love the decorations! I LOVE Christmas music! Thanksgiving is just three days away and I'm so looking forward to our time in NJ with family and friends! really, that's all the news.... oh, and November 24th marks one year since my Cardiac Ablation! I've been SVT free now for just under 10 months!! This is one thing I've been so thankful for!!

My 100th Post...

So, I really wanted to have an exciting post.... however, I never came up with anything good or interesting to write about. So this post will be as unexciting and random as any other post, it just happens to be number 100. I wish I could do a give away, but I'm not as experienced as you all...

Well, Tuesday, the Tim and I leave for a week in Hawaii. Yes, I'm very excited!! We'll be visiting the big island. I cannot wait! It's been a long time coming!!

Other things: I've been trying to be more creative in the kitchen. Trying out new recipes. I find that I enjoy cooking, I just hate the cleaning up parts. So that's been fun! I've made a chicken tortellini soup, I got the recipe from a neighbor! It was pretty good! So yummy! So that's really all that news.

That's really all the news, (I know, so exciting), I've got right now. I wish I wasn't tired, I wish I had more things to talk about, I wish I was a more daring person to talk about more daring topics, if I even knew of more daring topics... but alas, I do not... at least not at the moment, and now my 100th post has gone to waste. But I didn't want to keep hesitating just because I didn't have anything to write about... sorry, maybe I'll have more interesting to talk about at my 200th post.... we shall see...

My Wreaking Wednesday..

Yes, you read it right. Today I have been dealing with an awful stench in my house, even with all the windows open. Ever since I woke up this morning and walked down stairs and opened the windows there has been this awful smell running through my kitchen and morning room. I tired all day to figure out what it was. I took out the trash. I sprayed Lysol, I light candles... to no avail nothing worked. So I gave up looking for the smell, beginning to think that it was coming from the dump down the street since it's quite windy here today. But that still left me confused since the wind was blowing in the opposite direction. So I finally decided to begin to investigate. Really trying hard to find out where the smell was coming from, and through it all I began to get a headache. It was driving me crazy, until I walked passed my refrigerator and got a nice big whiff of the smell, searching all over still nothing. So I figured if I wiped down the stove top and whatnot it would take care of the smell.... still nothing, UNTIL... I looked down at the nobs. Yes, one of the nobs to my stove top was turned ever so slightly and was leaking propane gas into my house... I found the culprit, quickly turning it back into it's off position, quickly blowing out all the candles in fear the house may blow up. Thankfully it's been a beautiful, windy, but beautiful day here and the windows have been open all day... And now the smell is gone, however, my headache is not...

An Award

It was so nice for Mrs. M to nominate me for the Honesty Scrap Award!! I actually got it last week, but have been busy running here and there and trying to get things done before vacation in just few short weeks!! Thank you Mrs. M for this award!

The rules of the Honest Scrap Award go like this: List at least 10 honest things about yourself. Then, choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design and link to them, leaving a comment to inform them they have been awarded. Here we go.........

1. I'm unemployed and have been for the last year and a half. Sometimes I miss working, but most of the time, I enjoy sleeping in. :)

2. I like my house to be neat and organized, however, I have no idea how to be neat and organized.

3. I love to cook, but I find a lot of the times, I become lazy when it comes to cooking.

4. I enjoy food shopping. I think the biggest reason for this is because I'm usually stuck in my house all day with no where to go so when that food shopping week comes up, I'm elated to get out of the house!

5. I have this odd fear of children. I'm not really afraid I suppose, it's more like, I'm not sure how to at around them or what to say to them, I still go back and forth on whether or not I want children.

6. I struggled with Anorexia all through high school and was hospitalized my senior year.

7. I had SVT since I was 14 years old or so... But just last year is when they finally caught it when my mother drove my to the ER after years of never having an episode when I would have the heart monitors. SVT is an extra elctrical pathway in your heart where it an cause rapid heart rates, but last November after great dissussion with my cardiologist and electrophysiologist we came to the conlusions that the surgery was the best option. Although I was scared out of my mind, I had it done and am very glad I did. I have been episode free for 9 months now. (I had a few really short episodes for a few months after the procedure.)

8. My parents are dvorced and have been since I was 8.

9. I meet my husband at church.

10. I used to dance, tap and pointe mostly, and I really miss those days.

I just do what I have to do to get through the days. Right now I've got some chili cooking in the crock-pot for dinner, got the recipe from the cook book Fix-it-and-Forget-it. I have a messy house that I need to straighten up. I have a dog that needs to go for a walk. Oh, and some small news. I just got accepted into graduate school. So now, on top of trying to take care of a husband and a home and a dog, I'll have classes to attend, papers to write, books to read... oh joy, what have I gotten myself into. All well, maybe I'll have some things to finally share with you all my lovely readers! I'll be in the Marriage and Family Counseling program. fun times.

Something else that is coming up. My 100th post. I wanted to make it special, something for you my blog friends. What is it you would like to know, or what you'd like me to write about. I;ll leave it up to you all!! :) hope you are having a wonderful day!

Death comes. We cannot avoid it. As humans, I do think many of us try to ignore that fact or even believe they can defeat it. But, the truth is, it's inevitable. It's sad. It hurts. But at the same time, for us who lose our earthly lives, it's just a brand new beginning.

I just say these thoughts, not because I just lost some one close to me, not because some I know just passed away. But because one year ago today, a beautiful, strong, stunning, wonderful mother, wife, friend, daughter, and most of all, Godly woman who lost her battle to brain cancer. And once again, I am touched by the beautiful legacy she left behind. I am, myself, reminded of the greatness of God, the blessings He brings. I am once again reminded of the relationship we are meant to have with God and the love He has for me. I am encouraged and touched. With the thoughts of grace and peace that God brings to us daily. He continues to heal and teach.

And as I sit here on my front porch, watching the destruction of the beautiful trees that should be changing into a palate of colors, I am reminded that it comes all to soon and that we are never guaranteed the tomorrow where we put all of our, "I'll get there's". I'll miss those trees, and I'll miss the lessons I've learned from this beautiful woman, but I know that God is here, and I know I'll see the beautiful colors of fall again, and I know those wonderful lessons will continue on though many others in my life. And here we are, in a new season of the year, a new season of our life.

So over at An Island Life, we have Aloha Friday.... we are asked a question and we all share what our answer are! So, This week's question (which happens to be question number 100!!)

If you could do or have one thing to make your life easier, what would it be?

Hum, this is a difficult question for me. I don't have children, It's just me the husband and the dog. I also am a stay at home wife/homemaker. So my job is to stay home and keep the house in order and clean and cook. So I wouldn't say my answer would be to have someone come in and clean and cook. (although that would be great, but then I'd be totally lazy...) Maybe if I could have a nie full body massage once a month to revive my body from all the cleaning I do, (which is way more cleaning than the usual two people and a dog I'm sure! The hubby doesn't even clean up after himself...lol) So yep! full body massage once a month! I think that would definitely make my life easier!

Feels like Forever

....Possibly because it has been. As I sit here on this rainy day, (and I mean it's down pouring, but I love it!), I thought about how it's been so long since I have shared what has been going on in my little corner of the world. Really and honestly, not much has changed since my last post. But today, I just wanted to write to remember 9.11.01. It was a terrible day that started out just like any other for the whole world, until that one moment that changed the history of our beloved United States of America. I still to this day cannot forget where I was or what I was doing or how I heard about what had happened and the thoughts that went through my mind when I first heard about what had happened. It was my senior year of high school. Second period, physics class, (which I dropped out of for chemistry). The gym was right across the hall from our class room. One of the gym teaches came and ran into our room and asked our teacher to turn on the news. There is was, right on the television screen, those terrible images that are burned in our memories. Fear, concern, what just happened, freak accident.... all the thoughts that ran through my head. Confusion, not sure what was happening. Fellow students calling home, (living pretty close to NYC we were all scared for families and friends that worked in the city). Then as we all watched in horror that first tower go.... I'll never forget. That day, we were not taught by our teachers, but we all learned something. To the families that lost loved ones to those who lost their lives, to those who braved the fires to rescue, you are never forgotten, you will always be remembered. I salute those who protect us everyday and thank you for protect our country and giving us freedom. For freedom comes with a price, and for that price, you are not forgotten and I will always be in gratitude. I thank you.

My life has not changed. I still have nothing new or exciting to write about. I still and the same old person with nothing to wright about.... I have an engagement photo shoot today, as long as the rain holds out, which I hope it does...

Well, on to something else. When I first started this blog was in a philosophy class in college. I loved it. It was probably one of my favorite classes in college. I would come back from class thinking about the discussion we had that day and I would write about my thoughts on it like this post here. I sometimes still think about philosophical questions and many times I don't realize it and therefore, I just don't post about them anymore. I wish I did though. At least I would have something a little more exciting to discuss...

Instead... like any other semi-normal week for me.. all I have to share with you again today is that my hubby is on travel in San Diego. So, I am in NJ staying with his parents. I am doing a photo shoot today and I have to go with my future sister-in-law to get sized for the brides-maids gowns. Then, tomorrow my husband comes home from Cali. Then an engagement party Saturday. Next week we go down to KY to visit some great friends! I'm really looking forward to that trip.

Well, that's about all for today, I didn't want you all to think that I have disappeared. Have a good day all!

So, the last 2 days I feel like I've just been lazing around and doing nothing. Well, not completely nothing, but it might as well. I'm just in one of those moods... I'm sick of doing house work. (it's a good thing I don't have an actual job I have to show up for!). I think a lot of it has to do with all the painting I've been doing lately. Yes, I have emphasized the word "I've" because my wonderful, amazing husband, does not paint. Sooo, I have been stuck trying to paint this blank canvas of a house that we have been living in for over a year now... and it sucks. I really hate the fact that we don't have the money to just pay someone to come in and paint our house. I just really hope that when it's all done I'll feel a sense of accomplishment and not hate towards my home; like I do at times now.

I just finished folding and putting away two loads of laundry, and there are only two of us. I also did the dishes this morning and I still have another load of dishes to do. I really just feel like staying in my room to watch tv for the rest of the day... but I really don't like tv either... I just find it a comfort when I'm home alone during the day. The problem with that is... I pretty much did that all day after church yesterday. It was such a yucky day yesterday I just stayed up in my room, ~~sat~~ layed in bed, and had a Legaglly Blonde marathon..... I guess that's the problem, once you do it, you just want to keep doing it.... But I do have to admit, I feel terrible for wanting to do this. I really don't want to paint again today, especially after painting ALL day on Saturday. so I don't think I will, but I think I should.... See my delema.. if you can even call that a delema... whatever.... HA

well, that's my rant for today... my other issue... I've been slacking on the photography... i suck.

Well, I can't complain too much. He hasn't traveled too much lately' maybe that's the reason why it's even harder this time. But it is hard, difficult, whatever you want to call it. Yes, I'll be honest; the three glasses of Shiraz doesn't help, (but they were good!!) But I do miss him. That wonderful man I call my husband. He left yesterday to go to a business meeting, and he'll be home tomorrow early afternoon, but, I still miss him. Two nights in my house by myself, (well, my wonderful dog and I). But it's ok. I got a lot accomplished today: food shopping, job hunting, house painting, dog walking... the lit goes on. Oh the joys of being a house wife!!!

Not much has been going on lately, but we have much coming up soon! This weekend, hopefully we can spend some time here in our house, then the next week we are heading back to NJ for a work picnic and a family reunion, the home, then the following weekend, back to NJ for my brother and sister-in-law's engagement party, then home for a little bit and off to Louisville, KY, then home, then .... maybe... some time to relax at home...

So I guess you can say we are pretty busy this upcoming month, but nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary. 83 days left until we leave for our vacay in Hawaii. I cannot wait for that vacation since it's been 2 years since our last vacation where it was just the two of us!!!

I've been pretty busy painting the house. Which it's a good thing I'm not working, since my husband refuses to paint. It's been going well, expect for the fact that I am beginning to hate painting...

Well, I suppose that's all I have to ramble about for now. Hopefully one day I'll have a fantastic story to share wit you... but for now, we'll have to settle with my boring everyday... life...good night all!

Well, for now... Last week was crazy we were on vacation with minimal internet access, then headed out to a wedding. Then after we finally came home, I began to clean and straighten up thing around the house, then yesterday painted our fireplace wall a nice calming shade of blue, so I've been pretty busy. Nothing too new has been going on.

Our vacation was very nice. We spent some time at the beach house in NJ which was very nice and we had excellent weather all week long! It was wonderful. The wedding we went to was one of my best friends from college! She was absolutely stunning!

My fireplace wall is driving me crazy because you can see the paint roller lines, no matter what I do. And today I just put on the second coat, and it looks even worse then yesterday. Does anyone have any advice? I've tried the "W" and the "N" method .... neither of them worked... I'm just about ready to hire someone to do it. All well.

So Completly Random!

So, I have this game that I LOVE! It's called Mancala and its a board with six ups on either side and the point of the game is to get the most gems in you larger scoring cup to the right of you, and each cup includes four gems, so all together there are 24 gems. which if you really knew me, you would wonder how after owning this game for ten plus years, how in the world I've only managed to lose one of those 24 gems. I lost it about 9 years ago... haha! and so I replaced it with a fairly large piece of sea glass I had, (which all who have played my game have come to realized that it is highly annoying!). Soooo, after moving to college and moving out of my mom's house into my in-laws before my husband and I got married, and then moving into his place, then last year moving to our place now, I still have not managed to lose anymore gems! However, I did assume that through all the moving, the gem was lost forever. BUT, my AMAZING husband that he is, went downstairs and rummaged through one of the boxes in the basement that we still have yet to unpack, (even after being here for over a year), looking for something, (that had absolutely nothing to do with my beloved game), and low and behold, he walked up the stairs with this beautiful shiny missing gem!!!! After all of our moves and being lost for eight years, the gem has finally been found and reunited with it's friends!! And yes, this story does remind me about the lost sheep story that Jesus tells us in Luke chapter 15. It's a little different, but it does remind me, no matter how long you may be lost for, God is always there and will find you! And it just reminded me of the particular verse "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?", Luke 15:4. Now I know I gave up on finding my gem and though I had forgotten about it and gave up on it, (even though it was later found) it just made me remember that no matter what, Jesus will NEVER give up on finding you!

on a very warm, but sunny Tuesday here we live. My husband is working from home this morning which is great, at lest today! ;-) We have our storm door scheduled to be installed today! I'm very excited about this! Although I do find it interesting, that now, I find gifts such as this storm door, to be just as exciting as when I was a little girl getting that new barbie doll I wanted. When did that all happen? When did I grow up and start enjoying things, such as appliances and doors, as beautiful wonderful gifts! I find it so funny! I do miss those days of getting fun new "toys", but now, I do suppose those "toys" have become altered to fit my "age". ha, all well, I suppose this is all part of growing up...

Anyway, not too much exciting has been going on, (as usual). I have done some photo shoots, which went great! I was so excited to do them! I'm still struggling to figure out what colors to paint my house, and yes, I am still uneasy about the BRIGHT GREEN room... all well. This week, one again, we will be heading back "home" to NJ. We will be staying for the week, but this time, Tim's on vacation. I hate thinking that returning back home to where we both grew up as vacation, because it used to be my life that was other's vacation... and now I'm in their shoes and I'm returning there for "vacation". Ugh, it's a jumbled mess. I just miss NJ. I miss my home.

Well, that's really all. Nothing new, nothing big. Hopefully I'll be getting together with my sister-in-law to take photos of my beautiful niece while we are in NJ. It will be good to be "home".

So, today was my second interview for the job I applied for. I think it went well! In fact, I think it went very well!! I'm excited for future possibilities! After my interview this morning, I ran home to go pack up my things and get the dog to head back up, once again, to NJ. It was a nice drive!! Not too terrible. I came up here right after the interview so I could be here to do a photo shoot; well, that was the no go part of today. I never heard back from the couple I was supposed to shoot yesterday or today. So that never happened. But all is good. The day ended with some GREAT sushi and mochi ice cream!!!!!!!!!

My 70th Post!

So this post marks my 70th post!!! I wish I had something extremely exiting to share with you all, and I know I've been totally slacking on posting. My apologizes.

Anyways, We have been busy traveling back and forth from home in MD to home in NJ. It's bee crazy! My days today and tomorrow are packing up quickly! I've already done a ton of errands today and I still have more to do, the we have volleyball tonight, (as long as it doesn't rain; it looks like the weather is a little bipolar today). Tomorrow morning I have my second job interview in MD!!! Crazy!! Then I am driving up to NJ to meet my hubby and I have a week full of photo shoots; which I am utterly psyched about!! Tomorrow, as long as all is still a go, I will be shooting a couples "engagment" photos so they have some to disply at their wedding reception on Friday! Then wed. hopefully all is still a go to shoot 4 little boys, all cousins! then on thurs. I will hopefully be shoot for my cousin and his wife, pictures of their (semi) new baby girl.

So as you can see, it's a pretty busy week, but I'm totally excited about it all!! hope you are doing well!! have a great day!

I don't blog very often, most of the time it's because I don't have much to blog about. (well, I often do blog about not blogging about nothing. woah.) Well, today is no different, haha!

Saturday a few friends came down and we were in a volleyball tournament. My friend Jana and I had a great time playing doubles and came in second in our division! Tim and his friend James, did ok too. The point though, we all had a great day and it was fun! And I want to give a BIG thanks to our friend Steph who came down with Jana to watch us and support us as we played, it was so nice to have someone there to watch us for once! She was also kind enough to snap some photos for us, since while I was unable to be behind the camera this time because I was playing! so here are some photos some from Steph, and some of the boys that I was able to get.

Well, tomorrow morning is back to NJ for us. Tim has to go on travel there again, it's nice to get back home and see friends and family, but now it's beginning to become a hassel driving back and forth. But this week we will be playing in a fundraiser volleyball tournament at our old church in NJ, St. Paul's UMC. The funds will go towards the missions that the church helps with. It will be fun! I'm at least looking forward to it.

Well, well, right now blogger is giving me problems uploading pictures to my blog for today's wordless wednesday. So, for now, I'll just do a post.

Not much has been going on. I'm back here in NJ with Tim while he is on travel for work up here. I always enjoy coming back to see my friends and family, but it really stinks when I get stuck in a hotel room for the entire day. I don't have a car to get anywhere. Which really stinks, but it's ok I suppose. Tonight we will be getting together with a bunch of friends to play some volleyball which will be nice and we should have some fun. Last night we went out to a nice dinner with Tim's parents, sister, and grandmother. It's was nice, but I felt like a fool because it was a nice restaurant and everyone looked so nice and there I was looking like a bum! All well, it was still a nice evening. I always hate that I never have anything to write about. I wish I did but I guess I don't have much of the creative mind... I apologize... Well, later today I'll try posting my pictures for wordless wednesday, hopefully it will work later. Well, I hope that you are having a nice day!

So Much in One Day!!

So Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary! It was such a wonderful day even though it was rainy! Yesterday, I also had a job interview which was very nerve wrecking since it's been months since my last job interview, but I think all went well. Yesterday we also finished painting and putting back together our morning room. It's the first room in our house since moving in that we painted and thankfully it's all done now!! So as you can see our yesterday was a very full day! I also got a storm door for our anniversary and I cannot wait until it comes! :) (I do find it odd now that I'm older the type of gifts that excite me, I mean common... really, a storm door is that exciting as an anniversary gift... all well, I guess it's part of growing up..) So I still have to get the picture I took of us on our anniversary onto the computer, but once I do that, I'll post it; but for now, the picture of our completed morning room will have to fill up your aesthetic amusement.

this is a basket that we got when we were in Africa that was the original inspiration for this room. Although it has faded and most if the basket is not as green as it used to be. but you can still see some of the original color there on the bottom.

So here is the room all finished and put together, there are just still a few more items to get into the room, but you get the idea. We also got those placemats while we were in Africa.

I think we have decided that this room will be our Africa inspired room!

So yesterday I was stuck in a hotel room ALL DAY! While my Husband went off to work. He is on "travel" to NJ, so I went with him and instead of staying with his parents like we usually do, he decided to book a hotel room. It's nice, but it does get pretty boring during the day. And so, here I am again today, stuck in the room while I wait for his return, which actually should be very soon.

Anyway, while I've been waiting for him I went off searching and wandering around some other blogs and came across this. It's a wonderful little blog and it makes me so ready for summer! or my vacation to Hawaii: one of the two... And this Island Life blog holds something called Aloha Friday! So my husband began the hunt for a telephoto lens since we still only have the lens we got with our Pentax K20D. Although I do not believe this is possible any time soon since we really don't have the extra money lying around for a new lens; although it would be so nice to have a new one! Well, here are the lens we are looking at, PENTAX DA * 50-135mm F2.8 ED, and then there is the Pentax DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8, and lastly there is the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8. I think I'm leaning more towards the Sigma but the Pentax 55-300 seems nice too. But I don't think we will be getting a new lens anytime soon. Thats really all for the updates, I'll have to post back again later for my wordless Wednesday.

So I'm still not any better at updating my blog as I would like. However, my boring life is the one to blame. For this, I am sorry. BUT... There are somethings I suppose that I could update you all on.

First of all, I am starting up my own photography business! I'm very excited about this opportunity and if all else fails, I at least get to be involved with my hobby a little more then than I am now. Although I'm not exactly the "pro-photographer" I would like to be, I still have fun behind that lens! I especially love taking pictures of children and babies! They seem to be full of joy and life and make that experience so much more! I will be so happy to be able to capture life most precious moments for anyone.

And the other thing, I think I have found out that I am developing some nasty allergies. I woke up Tuesday morning with a hideous looking swollen eye!! Two days of doctors and no answers, but at least the meds are working and the swelling is barely noticeable! for that, I am very happy and thankful!

Well thats all the random news I have for now. nothing to big or exiting, (well.. maybe the photography is exiting!) I hope you all enjoy your day! :)

To Iowa and Back...

So I left Thursday morning for my trip to see a dear friend of mine and her husband who live in Iowa. It was my first time flying on my own, and I must admit, as scared as I still was, it was not all that bad. I had left from Philly to Cleveland, and then from Cleveland to Kansas City, MO. then we had a three and a half drive back to her place in Iowa. I had a great time visiting with her!! and I also had the opportunity to judge for her cheerleading tryouts. She is a coach for a college out there. It was interesting and a lot of fun. I've never officially judged cheer tryouts before. But it was a great time! I flew back home yesterday and my wonderful husband was there at the airport to pick me up... then we went right to a volleyball game!! Crazy, I know. And now I'm home today and Tim had to leave for travel this morning. He'll be gone until Thursday. This is hard, I come back home just to have him leave... Not fun! So I think I will be trying to get up to NJ to make a visit to my niece and her mommy and daddy. We will see how everything goes. I did just get back from traveling and I'm not sure if I'm ready to get in the car for a 2 hour drive... but, there is that possibility.

Well, that's really about all the grand news for now in my life... :)

Oh my goodness, it's been forever once again since I've made a post!!! Well, things have been slightly busy, but still no excuses....

My brother and Missy finally had their BEAUTIFUL baby girl, Adrina Rae, last Tuesday at 7:18pm, 6lbs 13oz, 20in. She is absolutely the most adorable little thing I've ever laid my eyes on!! She has her mommy's nose, and daddy's mouth, mommy's eyes, but daddy's beautiful long eye lashes!! Everyone did so great, especially my sis, Missy! it was long, but oh so worth it. That little girl is so loved!

But through their trials God has been there for them and has blessed them greatly! Her struggle and hope has started this wonderful new movement! Been a few days

So, It's been a few days since my last post. UBP is over, but it was a blast! I've been semi bust the last few days watching the NCAA tournaments, a baby shower, another wonderful friend of mine had her baby last week too! So much in the last few days may have been a little too much though... although, more than likely, it's food poisoning. Early this morning I woke to find myself running to the bathroom and it was like that for at least two hours. Not so fun, so today, I find myself chilling out in bed, thinking about taking a nap in a few here. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here and I have not fallen off the face of the blog world! Hope you are all feeling well and having a good day! Hopefully at the end of this week, my woderful husband and I will be booking our Hawaii trip for November I think! I can't wait!

So welcome to Party day number 5 folks!! Well, today hasn't been as producctive as I would have liked, but it was still productive non-the-less. I took my car in to get fixed, which was way cheaper then expected!!, and then went to the bank to put some of that nice income tax return towards the car loan. Also, got a load of laundry going and dinner will be cooking soon. Tonight I'm going nice and simple. Pizza. Not much as been going on here, been quiet, but have been getting some nice visitors! UBP- Day number... 4....

oh my goodness!! I miss out on the UBP day number 3! Sorry everyone! Yesterday was so busy. The team that my husband and I went to Uganda, Africa with spoke at a church yesterday morning so we spent the day in Ocean Grove, NJ.

I did get only one lonely question for my day number 2, if you could ask me anything, what would it be... So I will answer that one question, but I leave the Q&A session open!!!! also, for day number 3 4, I will share our Uganda, Africa trip with you all since I had a few people tell me they were interested in hearing about the trip!!

The question came from Amanda - My question would be what is your favorite thing about photography?

My favorite thing about photography is being able to capture those memories, either for my self, or for others. To be able to capture something still and to go back a look at it and remember those moments in life. The creativity with photography is also a favorite of mine. I LOVE to be creative, and with photography, I think you can become very creative!! :)

Now, For the short or long post about Africa:

We left on Mon. Aug. 11th at 2:30pm to head out to Newark Airport for our 7 hour flight to Hethrow, England that left at 6ish here in the States. Now there is a 5 hour time difference. We finally landed in Hethrow at 6:30is am. Our pastor who was the head of our team decided to get a hotel room for the day in Hethrow because we haed a 16 hour lay over in England. So we got to the hotel room, (there were 7 of us total who went on the trip), to drop off our carry-ons and were able to wash up. Then we decided that since we had the time that we would go out to London, which is only about a 30-45min ride on the tube. We got off at Piccadilly Station and from there walked a bit around London for 6 hours or so. We were able to see the changing of the Guards at the Horse Palace thing. (lol) We were also able to see the London Eye, which is the Big Ferris wheel that you see in some of the pictures. We also go to see the Houses of Parliament, (which is what I was excited about seeing), and also did a Boat our on the Temmes (sp?) River so we got to see some of London, Saw the London Bridge and the Tower Bridge. The from there we walked to Buckingham Palace and from there to Waterloo Station and took the Tube back to the air port. London is very expensive!! lol with all the exchange and stuff my husband and I ended up spending about 60 USD on our lunch which was 2 sandwiches and sodas!!! After we got back to the air port hotel we got washed up again and gathered our things and headed to our terminal for our next flight from Hethrow, England to Entebbe, Uganda. That flight was about 8 - 9 hours. Very long!!! lol but it was a good flight. There is another 2 hour difference from England to Uganda, so total it is a 7 hour difference between the States (NJ) and Uganda. We finally landed in Entebbe at about 8ish am on Wed. Aug. 13th. After we landed we were greeted by the missionaries we would be staying with, which is a young couple that my pastors knew the husband when he was younger (if that makes sense). We then brought all of our luggage out the the van that they had for the time that we would be in Uganda with them and packed it all up with the luggage on the top of the van and we all piled in for the 9 hour drive from Entebbe/Kampala (Kamapla is the capital of Uganda), to Arua, which is where John and Erica, (the missionaries), are staying and doing their work. It was a very long drive of some paved roads and some dirt roads but we managed to make it through. the only stop we made was for some gas a to use a bathroom, aka a pit latrin, which is really just a hole in the ground. Not fun at all!!! lol, however, I held it the whole way!! I didn't want to use one of those things unless it was absolutely necessary!! So after that nice long drive we finally landed ourselves in Arua, Uganda at John and Erica's place. which was pretty much dinner time by then. We got ourselves unpacked and the headed out to Billy and Joanna's, (another missionary couple there in Arua who we also helped out), for some dinner and the from there went back to the house and went to bed, lol! The thursday was just a day to relax and regroup and go over what the plan was for while we were there. Friday we left for a town/village called Nebbi to do some pastor training and to show the Jesus Film. It was all pretty neat and a great experience! Although the guest house that we stayed was not such a great experience!! lol. but it was a place to sleep with a bed and it wasn't a hut! lol The Jesus Film was pretty awesome, as we were setting up there were about 20-30 children and youth and adults there and even when it started. We were slightly discouraged at the time but knew that even if it was just one person it was all well worth it; however half way through the film we counted the amount of people who came and there were over 500 people there watching a film on the life of Christ!!!! It was awesome! finally on Sunday we all split into 3 groups and all went to 3 different church's in the village to one of the pastors church's that we were training. The service that I went to I had to share my testimony and it was about 2 hours long. then we all drove back to John and Erica's place in Arua and on Monday we had a prayer walk around Arua Town. That was a pretty neat experience because Tim (my husband) and I got to learn about Arua and the people who live there, most of them were and are Sudanese refugees. That was most of the day. The Tuesday we broke up into 2 different groups and did a scavenger hunt all around Arua Town by ourselves (meaning we had no one who knew the area with us, we were still in a group though!)!! It was a little scary at first but then it turned out to be so much fun!! We had to go to tha markets and buy things for the two families we were helping out and had to answer some questions, I also go to ride on a Bota Bota, which is just a mini motorcycle that is used as a taxi and the woman have to sit sideways!! That was a little scary at first, but it was a lot of fun also! That was pretty much the day for Tuesday. We also got our lessons together for VBS that we were doing Wed. Thur. and Fri. the rest of that week. So the rest of the week was VBS in the morning and then painting a chapel at the Uganda Christian University. Then Saturday was another day to regroup our self and Sunday we attended a Church service that was 4 hours long!!!! then Monday we left really early(4:30am!!!) to go on Safari!! That was so much fun! then Tuesday we left and headed back to Entebbe. There were times in between that we were ale to go out and see the markets and do some shopping which was very interesting because you also get to barter the prices. The wed. morning we left at about 9am and took the 9 hour flight to Hethrow with a 2 hour layover which didn't leave us much time off an airplane.... YUCK! and got on the next fight that left a 6pm from Hethrow to Newark, NJ and we arrived back in the states, at about 10:30ish pm and got back to out church parking lot at about midnight wed/thur.

I just got them the other day and used them for the first time yesterday, and I must say... I absolutely love them!! I highly recommend them for anyone who is into running/working out! The Ultimate Blog Party...

So I just found out about this event!!! I never even knew that these things existed and I have "had" this blog since ~~2006~~ actually, it was 2004!... The word had is very strong here since it's only been a few months since I really began getting into blogging...

Anyway, I found out about this event from Beth over at her blog I should be folding laundry . I think this is a great idea for people and families to get to learn about other people in throughout the world and to swap ideas on life!

So to get in on this wonderful party, I'll let you all know a little about me... (took the introduce my self idea from Beth, hope it's ok!!)

I just turned 26 a few weeks ago, and it was really difficult for me... I know I get a lot of looks for people who don't understand it... i here the... "HA, you're still a baby" quote ALL THE time.... it kind of gets annoying... it was just hard... that's all. I'm married to a WONDERFUL man I met at church several years ago. We've been married just a little under 3 years, our third anniversary is June 4th!! He is an engineer and travels A LOT for work, it gets lonely, but you get used to it... We moved away from our friends and family in NJ last April to MD due to Tim's job relocating, but all is going well, and the drive back "home" to NJ isn't all that far. But I do miss my family and friends greatly, especially since my FIRST niece is due to be born any day now!!!

My husband and I have no children, at least not of yet, and the idea of becoming a mother scares the crap out of me!! But we do have a ... "furbaby"... his name is Winston and he is a 3 year old puggle, I love him dearly!

I love to dance, I love photography, I love learning, and when I'm in the mood and can get into a book, I love to read. I don't have too many hobbies since most of them cost money... ha ha. But I am trying to get back into things, like starting a garden, I don't know why I decided to do that since most of my indoor plants die away, but we'll see where this takes me. I also enjoy volleyball and working out, when I can get to a gym.

Growing up I went through a great deal of trials. My parents divorced when I was 8 or 9. My mom remarried when I was 13 or so, then my dad remarried when I was 15 or 16, then my mom got another divorce to my stepfather, (which I didn't mind as much). I delt with depression, and eating disorders. I was hospitalized for Anorexia at the age of 18, right before I was to graduate from high school. Then I got accepted into college and went of to college where my life started to turn around. I statred to grow closer to God, (I attened a Bible College), I started to date my now husband, (we met at our home church), I met some of the best friends I will ever come to know and love. Then I got married in June of 2006 and graduated college in December of 2006, sine then our life has been non stop, we've been to the carribean on vacation 3 times, (once was our honeymoom), we've been to Africa on a short term missions trip, with a one day layover in London! I have been out to Califorina with him for travel... we been so many places in the 2 1/2 years we've been married! But, at the same time, it feels like things are going so slow... since we moved to MD I have unsuccessfully been able to find work, and I have only been taking care of our home and job hunting, which are, in fact, two full time jobs anyway...

Well, that's about all, I don't always update my blog, since I feel no one reads it anyway, but sometimes I do, sometimes I just ramble, sometimes I actually have something to update. So, please feel free to stop by, subscrib, or follow me on twitter.

Life is Boring, as Usual...

Nothing really new has been going on here in our world. Tim is finally home from his travel to Washington State, and we both have been home in MD since last Friday. Since we've been home we have been trying to get our yard prepared and our home cleaned and organized. I've been job hunting, with, still, not much success. But I am sure that God has His timing for the perfect job for me. I did just apply today for another job, and I am hoping to at least get an interview from this one... will you pray with me that it will happen?

I, along with the rest of my family, have been patiently awaiting the arrival of my little niece... although she still isn't due for 3 more weeks. But we are still waiting....

We are also working on picking out some colors to finally paint the inside of our new home!! I cannot wait to do that, plain white walls get tiring to look at...

This weekend Tim and I will be back in NJ and will be joining the rest of the team that we went to Uganda with. We were invited to speak out our short term mission trip there. It will be fun and exciting since we haven't really talked about it in a while. I miss it there, even though we were only there for 2 weeks, it was a wonderful 2 weeks. I really hope that I am able to go back one day... we will see where God leads....

That's about all that has really been going on. I wish I was better at this blogging thing, or should I say, I wish my life was a bit more interesting to blog about... I don't know, either wast, it's all good I suppose.

Some days I really wish I could go back and relive our wedding day, I think that I usually do this when Tim is away on travel. He's been gone for a week and a day now and I've been here in NJ. It gets lonely, I miss him, his company, his love, and I miss his touch,. But it always makes home coming that much more beautiful. Things have been going well for us even through all the traveling he's been doing for work. Time is flying by so fast!!! next month will have been in our new home for one year. Next month I become and Aunt for the first time!!! Next month is my husband's birthday!! then in June it will be our three year wedding anniversary!! We also plan on painting our home... finally... next month. Hopefully things will continue to work out so that we will be able to do that!! I cannot wait to put some color to our beautiful home. That's really all... Not much really happens in our life. HA! I'm STILL job hunting, but I think I'm becoming content on what God's been doing for me. I think I may be starting to figure out what I'm really supposed to be doing. I'm just about complete with my Grad school application. I just really need prayers that I can get this autobiographical statement done right!! ha ha!!

Well, once again, and as usual, this post is a big mishmosh of whatevers.... hope you are all having a wonderful evening... I'll be enjoying The Secret Life of the American Teenager tonight!!

So, Today marks one week here in NJ.... missing my husband once again. He's out on travel again and won't be back home until the 15th .... he'll be gone one week tomorrow morning, so, one more week and he'll be home again!!! But sine he's been gone I've been catching up with family and friends here in NJ and I've been having a blast!! It's so nice to see the ones I love and miss when we are home on MD. So I just realized that the last post I did was not so nice, it was a rant, and it did help me to get that off my chest. However I cannot just let that one sit there for a few weeks as the first post people see when they come to my site here. So here goes another post...

It was so nice to get out of the house!! We don't know very many people still where we live. It's all still so new, so we normally just stay in all the time, but, Monday night Tim and I went out and went bowling!!! It was so nice, we had lots of fun! His company put together this little event to get all the people oh are moving from NJ to MD to get together to meet each other since we all have the move in common and it was great to go and meet some new people. Although, as for the rest of the week, we've just been doing our normal routine, staying at home. I do have to say that I am excited for this Valentine's day. We won't really be celebrating it until Sunday, we will be going into Philly and enjoying a nice dinner at the Melting Pot!! I love the Melting Pot!!

Right now, today, at this moment, I have the dry wall guys here at my house fixing up some dry wall. I found out that the ceiling above our door to the basement was dropping, not a good thing. but it's getting taken are of now! :)

This is such a random post. Sorry it really doesn't have much of a flowing atmosphere... but I do suppose that most of my post are like this. Anyway...

Lately, (meaning the last few days), I have started getting this weird feeling like I want something, but yet, I just cannot figure out what it is I want. -Now, just to set this straight, this is much different then my usual rants of being depressed, or feeling lonely.- It just so weird because I just can't figure it out, last night we were sitting at dinner and all of a sudden I just felt the need to want something, and I hated it, not only because I could sit there for hours and still not figure out what it was that I wanted, but I just felt bad, or not right for "wanting" something. Why Was I sitting there wanting, I have all I need, I have a house, I have food, I have a loving husband, I even have a great dog! And in some cases we have been truly blessed with being able to have more than what we need. So why was I sitting there being filled with this want.... I just don't know, but I sure do know that I don't think I like it....

well, I guess that's all for today, I hope that you all have a wonderful Valentine's day! and I hope that I am able to get on here on monday and share my experience in Philly with you!! Have a great day!

What is wrong with some people?

*Warning* this is a rant.

I just don't understand what is wrong with some people. Not everyone understands what it is I am doing trying to find a job. Don't you people think I want to get out of my house. Don't you think I get sick and tired of being by myself. Don't you realize that I have no friends here so it's not like I'm out partying and have people to hang out with all day. I want to work, I want a job. And At times I am trying to understand what God is teaching me right now, why I don't have a job, what I'm supposed to do with my life. Don't you understand that it sucks for me, that I'm depressed enough as it is and I don't need you people telling me what to do or how to find a job or telling me that I'm not trying hard enough.... I've been trying to be patient and it doesn't help when I have people telling me that I'm not doing my best. It hurts. It does, I want to let you all know, I am trying my hardest, I'm on monster EVERY day. Some days, that's all I do. Today alone I must have spent 8 hours job hunting. It's exhausting and disappointing when the day ends and there are no results. To you people who think your jobs are stinky, try being in my shoes, be thankful for your job. That's all. I'm done now.

A Random Visit.

Yesterday was like every other day for me. I was bored, and tired. However, as I was on facebook I noticed that a friend of Tim and mine was getting ready to go on travel for work and would be passing us on his way down to where he was going. So I meant to leave a comment on his status, however I accidentally instant messaged him over the facebook messaging tool. From there we generated a surprise visit from him for Tim, (my husband). It was so great to have him stop by, even if it was short. It was great to have someone visit us in our home here in MD. It has been lonely, so to see a familar face, it was great!!! Darren, thanks for the visit! it was great to see you! can't wait to grab dinner with you and little miss Olivia when we come back up to NJ!!! I love when the little random things in life turn out to be the best gifts! Friendships are presious.

Those Unsecure Feelings....

Yes, they are back...

I go through these stages every once in a while. Since we have moved they have become more recent. I get into this state where I'm just not sure what to do anymore. I get sick and tired of staying in the house. I get frustrated that I spent all this money to go to college and get a degree, "because that's what your supposed to do in order to get a job", and yet still have not been able to get a job in 9 months. I end up not knowing what to do with my time. I would have hobbies, if there were the extra money around to support those hobbies. I feel like I waste my brain away sitting at home, watching t.v., cleaning, watching t.v., cleaning, and one day, every other week, I have the "joy" of getting out of the house to go grocery shopping. I get stuck in this rut and it becomes so overwhelming thinking about all these things that I get depressed. I hate admitting it, I don't want to be this way, but when you are in your house all day, alone for a little over 8 hours, and then finally have someone come home, just to hang out in the house all night again, doing nothing, again, or watching t.v. again, it gets sicking, tiring, boring, lonely (even with the husband home). Having a dog is nice, but he is pretty independent himself. I guess I just don't know what to do. Where to go. How to fix it. I can only stand searching Monster.com for so long. I can only stand looking at hotjobs.com, for song long, and so on.... I really think my brain is turning into mush... that's all.

Ok So I know it's been almost a month since my last post, but the Holidays were so hectic and I had friends come and visit last weekend! So now, as I sit here watching my last few episodes of the first season of Gray's Anatomy I figured I should at least do a little update. And I know I don't have many people look at my blog, but for the few who do welcome to 2009! I don't have the pictures on my computer yet but when I do, if it's not too far away, maybe I'll get to posting them. Christmas was crazy! The actual day of Christmas was quiet and relaxing with just me, Tim, and Winston. Tim made a nice breakfast of home-made pancakes, then we opened up our gifts, chilled out then had to clean up and get ready for the BIG family event we hosted on friday the day after Christmas, now here are some pictures of that day!!!

Tim and I will be in the Dominican Republic in one week!! We leave Friday and will be there for a week! I cannot wait for this vacation!! It is much needed!! Thats all for today!!

Becoming Domesticated

So today was a BIG day for me!! I went all out on the domestic front! ha ha!! Today I got dinner started this morning in the crock pot, (this must be the third time I have even used it, but I love it! I need to use it more often...). Then I got laundry going, then the dishes, then I made some homemade cookies!! This time I went for the cookie dough that you can cut into gingerbread men!! It was so fun. I can't wait to decorate them!! This past weekend was a pretty busy weekend. We got our tree up and got some more things done!! I cannot believe that Christmas is right around the corner! only 10 days!!! Wow. anyway.. here is a little picture of our tree.

So, I'm not really sure when this picture of me was taken, I must be 5 or 6 in this picture. I was going through all my pictures the other day and this is one of the many I came across. This one photo just reminds me so much of my childhood though; and how I miss the innocents of it, and how as children we don't really worry too much about the "responsible" things "adults" worry about. The biggest issue is what outfit to put on Barbie today.. Oh how I miss being a child...
